Practice Highlights: * The Inpatient Urologist will act as a consultant. Admission and discharge of most patients will be handled by the Internal Medicine team * Direct care for hospitalized and ER patients * Ability to perform procedures as well as surgeries * M-F Schedule, 7a-5p with no weekends or holidays. * Other team members will supplement the call rotation. Responsibilities: Summary: The Inpatient Urologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive urologic care to hospitalized patients. This position is clinical, focusing on diagnosing, treating, and managing patients' urological conditions. The Inpatient Urologist works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and participates in the continuous improvement of hospital services. Responsibilities: * Evaluate and manage urological conditions in hospitalized and ER patients while also taking phone call consultations from outlying facilities. * Perform urological procedures and surgeries as needed. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. * Consult with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to provide comprehensive urological care. * Participate in rounds and interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans. * Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients. * Educate patients and families about urological conditions, treatments, and preventive care. * Stay updated on the latest urological practices, techniques, and technologies. * Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of urological care. Credentials Required: * Medical degree from an accredited institution. * Board certification or eligibility in Urology. * New Mexico medical license. * Minimum of 3 years of experience in urology Qualifications: Type of Opportunity: Full Time FTE: 1.000000
