Pharmacy Technicians at St. Luke's enjoy opportunities to excel, grow, and be challenged in their careers at the Nampa, Meridian, and Boise Medical Centers in Southern Idaho. This is a full-time position in a variable schedule with rotating weekends and holidays.
Our Inpatient Pharmacies include Medical Center Inpatient, Cancer Institute, and Infusion Center pharmacies.
* Inpatient Pharmacy Techs prepare and compound medications for our admitted patients, deliver throughout the hospital, and prepare pharmaceutical kits - all while working with our nursing staff to meet patients' needs.
* Cancer Institute Pharmacy Techs prepare oncology medications in a cleanroom, purchase medications, and clean and stock the pharmacy.
* Infusion Center Pharmacy Techs assist patients in and out of the clinic, take vitals, and prepare IV medications.

* Schedules for our pharmacies can be variable, including Saturday and/or Sunday rotations; swing shifts, or nights

Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Valid Idaho pharmacy technician License
Preferred Qualifications
* Two (2) + years' experience
* CPhT

Responsibilities:
The Pharmacy Technician 3 is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the delivery of pharmacy services to patients and customers. Activities of the technician are under the supervision of the pharmacist.
* Compound, prepare and process medications/medication orders for final verification by the pharmacist
* Refill automated dispensing devices, dispensing technology in the medical center
* Order, receive, store incoming medications and supplies
* Utilize computer information systems to support pharmacy processes
* Complete required cleaning, monitoring, logs, recalls and outdates to established standards
* Opportunities to train others to reinforce their own training and skills with or without supervision, based on experience with function. May serve as a mentor or role model. May supervise the training of others, based on experience with function.
* Understands different functions as technician and is applying knowledge and experience to develop skills and learn more complex functions.
* Technician experience enables them the insight to initiate performance improvement activities and/ or help to develop solutions
* Provides quality customer service and experience allows them to identify gaps in customer service and provide solutions to close customer service gaps
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent
* Experience: 2 years' experience
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Valid Pharmacy Technician License in state of practice
* Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
