Inpatient Pharmacist - Full Time

Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Twin Falls is seeking a Full-Time Inpatient Pharmacist to join our dedicated pharmacy team. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based medication therapy for our patients while supporting a culture of clinical excellence and collaboration.
This position offers 10-hour shifts (4x10s) and includes working every 3rd weekend.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with providers and clinical teams to ensure the appropriateness of prescribed medication therapy.
* Enter, verify, and process medication orders in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
* Provide medication information and consultation to patients, nurses, and medical staff.
* Interpret prescriptions, compound, and dispense medications accurately and safely.
* Supervise and authorize the work of pharmacy technicians, externs, interns, and support staff.
* Prepare and maintain all necessary records related to medication therapy, prescriptions, patient charges, medical records, and inventory.
* Perform cognitive clinical pharmacy services and document findings and interventions per medical center standards.
* Administer medications and vaccinations as appropriate.
* Participate in the training, education, and mentoring of pharmacy technicians, externs, interns, residents, and other department staff.
* Serve as a professional role model and mentor for students, residents, and new practitioners.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
* Education: Degree from an accredited pharmacy program (PharmD or equivalent).
* Experience: No prior experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Valid Pharmacist License in the State of Idaho (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date).
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification through the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), American Heart Association (AHA), or American Red Cross.
