At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy our focus is patient-centered care. Our full range of medical services includes trauma services heart and vascular care emergency services surgery maternity cancer care and diagnostic imaging.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing professional nursing care for patients undergoing, non-chemo & chemo infusions and injections, insertion of mid-lines and peripherally inserted central catheters. Applies knowledge of current treatment modalities to patient care. Administers infusions/injections, testing and line insertions according to institutional policy, standards, and guidelines. Answers phones, schedules patients, maintains patient experience, and upholds core values and mission. Provides patients and families with emotional support, information and guidance during treatment. Educate patients and families in areas of health and illness that maintain optimum levels of physical and emotional functioning.
* Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, collaborate with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
* Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes adult and geriatric patients and the general patient population.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an RN nursing program.
RN:NE;
BLS-CPR;
CCHEMO-P or OCN - within 6 months
