Are you a talented Information Security Architect seeking the next level in your career? Able to travel around North America international Sunday to Thursday for at least 30-50% of the first year ? Inteqna Toronto is currently recruiting for an Information Security Architect who will help lead the Global Information Security Department. You are a pragmatic solution advisor, with experience in planning and executing information security programs, who will act as a technology consultant, with credentials in the security landscape, architectural models and solutions, and you possess the ability to discuss and present to all levels of staff and management. You are versant in solution design methodologies and have the ability to generate high quality artifacts such as minimum requirements, high level and detailed designs and deployment plans. Accountabilities: * Provide highly specialized Architectural consulting around Security across numerous initiatives and lines of businesses * Design security models; review and approve security configurations and installation of systems directly related to the core security domains; provide security oversight on projects to ensure alignment with corporate, legal, and regulatory requirements, security guidelines, customer security requirements, and industry standards * Help align and further develop the Security Architecture roadmap that integrates and aggregates all of the solutions for business applications and technology infrastructure * Consult on integration and conversion activities; within the core domains, participating in the development of hardware/software/network security procedures and guidelines that support information security policies * Perform security-related R&D activities as required; recommend implementation standards and design patterns that support information security and regulatory compliance objectives * Educate technical subject matter experts on the implementation of security controls from both a technical and business perspective * Lead and/or participate in process re-engineering efforts; member of the Architecture Review Board * Participate in technology evaluations and assessments; lead and/or influence the solution architects in the development of the solution architecture; overseeing security awareness program components within their domain(s); educating staff on information security policies, procedures and practices. * Monitor industry security updates, technologies and best practices to improve security management; display pragmatism in balancing the implementation of security controls, taking into account business risk; participates in corporate security reviews and audits. Requirements: * Security or Enterprise Solution/Technology Architecture background; preferably in the financial sector. * Demonstrated cross-departmental collaboration and consultation. * Demonstrated design and implementation of information security controls; both technical and procedural. * Demonstrated documentation authoring, editing and presentation experience. * Bachelor s degree in related field, or combination of degree and experience. * Certification within the core discipline(s) and architectural approach. * Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that s understandable for technical, management and business stakeholders. * Ability to encourage, motivate and guide individuals and teams around security requirements and integration capabilities. * Knowledge of philosophies, concepts and tools behind the design of secure information systems. * Familiar with delivering architecture artifacts such as: Solution architectures, Blueprints, Roadmaps and Vendor Evaluation/ RFP s. * Familiar with established frameworks and methodologies (i.e. TOGAF and SABSA). * Knowledge of risk assessment procedures, policy formation, role-based authorization methodologies, authentication technologies and security attack pathologies. * Technical proficiency in security-related hardware and software, forensics and other security systems and tools.
