Overview:
GovCIO is currently hiring for an Information Assurance (IA) Engineer to support the operations, maintenance, and sustainment operations of a DoD enterprise application. This position will be located in Arlington, VA or Springfield, VA and will be a remote/hybrid position.
Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for managing the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process to maintain the system's Authorization to Operate (ATO) in alignment with the DoD's Risk Management Framework (RMF) for a critical DoD application. The IA Engineer will be responsible for monitoring assessment software and maintaining the Body of Evidence (BoE) documentation. In addition, the IA Engineer will coordinate with the team to conduct Quality Assurance testing to ensure the continued, smooth operations of the customer application through methods like User, Regression, and IV&V Testing.
* Closely adheres to the DoD RMF process to maintain the systems' ATO
* Extensive experience with system test plans in support of maintaining AT
* Experience analyzing and distributing weekly Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) reports
* Participate/coordinate continuous monitoring as required
* Maintain BoE documentation in support of the systems' ATO
* Support all internal and external assessments as required
* Remain updated on industry best-practices, security guidelines, and new technologies
* Experience with National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) applications and security procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
Clearance required: TS/SCI with CI polygraph
Qualifications:
* Experience with keeping an information system compliant through security requirements and policies.
* Demonstrated proficiency with the DoD's Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and documentation.
* Strong communicative and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a technical, cross-functional team environment
* DoD 8570/8140 certified
* Experience with running custom applications for the DoD
* Critical thinking, analysis, and resolution skills
* Experience with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMass) or other compliance systems
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field of study.
* 5+ years experience in Cyber Security, Information Assurance, or similar field supporting the DoD
* Excellent analysis and communication skills
* DoD 8570/8140 certified
