The Information Assurance Analyst II serves as a Lead role for Information Assurance Analysts. The position is responsible for providing key government personnel with policy coordination and interpretation support, general information security support, and assisting with the development and implementation of a defensive security program that protectsinformation systems and documents. Additionally, the individual has oversight for ensuringand documenting that all systems are regularly scanned and audited in accordance with applicable DoD policy and procedures, and that incidentsare documented and accounted for as necessary through leadership. Will employ networkscanning tools such as ACAS, SCCM, AV, etc., to detect system and network vulnerabilities/deficiencies, as part of a proactive network security policy. Utilizes skills to determine if requisite cyber security patches and remediation procedures have been applied per IAVA requirements. Program: OMDAC-SWACA

Responsibilities:

* Leads a team of analysts in daily information assurance activities and provides guidance and oversight of these responsibilities. Prepare and conduct Cyber Security meetings to a team with accurate information for Network Security practice.
* Provides guidance to assessment and authorization process activities and related documentation such as systems concept of operations, system security design, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
* Develops architecture deliverables, specific information and security implementations, for operational systems.
* Evaluates and maintains current and newly signed for system architectures and designs. If warranted, would provide input to the ENEC, Brigade, and Vectrus organization when newly signed for system architectures do not meet required security compliance objectives.
* Performs all necessary procedures to assist with RMF assessment and authorization (A & A) on site.
* Assists in preparing DOD accreditation packages.
* Works with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) application to upload, manage, and maintain all RMF control input, and network artifacts.
* Manages and tracks POAM and ATO documents for inspections.
* Responsible for briefing the command team and unit management with current network security status to include machines with STIG Vulnerabilities and a remediation plan.
* Conduct necessary ACAS scan, setup ACAS Dashboard and conduct individual scans to provide accurate remediation results for each supporting site after reviewing eMass package. Must have knowledge on how to locate current Benchmarks to sustain accurate STIG SCAP Scan results
* Must be able to properly conduct scans utilizing the STIG SCAP tool to revise eMass imports for STIG results.
* Performs other duties and assignments as require

* Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.
* High School diploma required.
* Two years of college or equivalent experience preferred.
* This position requires candidates to adhere to DoD 8570.01M. All candidates are required to maintain at least one (1) baseline certification and one (1) computing environment (CE) certification. Baseline certifications cannot also be used as a Computing Environment (CE) certification.

* Experience:
* The Information Assurance Analyst II position is required to be an expert in all functions of both IAT Level I and IAT Level II positions relating to information assurance tools used on the enterprise environment.
* The Information Assurance Analyst II must be able to apply extensive knowledge of a variety of the IA field's concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure the secure integration and operation of all enclave systems (NIPR, SIPR, etc.).
* Must be able to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals for the enclave environment.
* Must have at least three years of practical experience in working with ACAS or other vulnerability management tools (i.e. ACAS, HBSS, Trellix), Windows 10 or higher operating systems (OSor higher, operating systems (OS) and Active Directory tools.
* Must have a basic understanding of networking.
