Responsibilities:

As our Imaging Tech, you will perform a variety of advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures across diverse imaging modalities, under the general direction of departmental leadership.

Every day, you will expertly operate complex imaging equipment, precisely execute imaging protocols, and meticulously monitor patients to ensure their safety and comfort throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will skillfully produce high-quality diagnostic images, collaborate effectively with the medical team, and steadfastly advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes within the imaging environment.

* Job Specific Functions
* Transfers and properly positions patient for examinations in order to obtain desired radiographic results according to physician specifications and established protocols. Provides immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
* Selects and operates equipment, selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis. Selects proper equipment to include cassettes, using film markers correctly and consistently. Rotates within the department or other departments and shifts as required.
* Assists physicians in performance of examinations. Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination.
* Performs examinations or procedures independently with appropriate competencies.
* Reviews patient chart and results of previous diagnostic studies and records patient's personal and medical information if applicable.

Qualifications:

Required

*  Successful completion of a fullyaccredited (full accreditation means thetraining program is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of AlliedHealth Education Programs (CAAHEP) ora similar, nationally recognized,accrediting agency), training program in the pertinent modality for which the employee is being hired 
* Successful and valid registration/certification by a nationally recognized accrediting agency;in the specific modality for which the employee was hired
*  One or more yearsof experience in the specific modality forwhich the candidate is being considered.. Modality specific advance level registry must be obtained within twelve months of hire date.
*  Should any of the above requirements (completion of the programor achieving registration/certification) not be obtained, in the specified timeframe, a single three month extension may be considered and granted at the discretionof the management..
* 1-3 years Must be experienced in operating equipment and evaluating images obtained, including anatomy and pathology so that additional images in varying positions may be obtained if necessary for correct diagnosis.
