Be a part of the pre-opening team for the Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel!
Opening Fall 2025, the Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel will also have over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Adhere to all Omni rules, policies, procedures, and standards
* Greet guests by utilizing the All-In impression standards set forth by Omni
* Set tables according to type of event and service standards as directed by leadership
* Suggestively sell items and answer questions/offer suggestions on both food and beverage menu selections
* Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests
* Record transaction in MICROS system in a timely manner
* Adhere to cash handling standards
* Ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage
* Present accurate check to guest and process payment
* Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
* Station set-up and breakdown/side-work
* Perform any other duties as assigned by leadership
* Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum 1 year serving experience
* Must acquire TIPS and ServSafe certifications
* Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines
* Previous cash handling experience required
* Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers
* Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS
* Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor
* Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department
* Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills
* Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:
* Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
* Position requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting, and consistent use of hands and arms
* Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments
TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:
* Micros terminal, printer, food and beverage items
