Responsibilities:

The MacOS System Administrator is responsible for maintaining Enterprise-wide device policies and OS software for all Apple desktop and laptop configurations in our environment. We enable end user MacOS configurations for use in various corporate/remote office locations nationwide and internationally. This position plays a critical role in the overall end-to-end device management lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and administer all Apple hardware, including software packaging, QA testing, deployment, issue resolution, and support for IT and new use cases.

* Develop automation tools for tasks like device staging, app distribution, troubleshooting, and other UEM activities.

* Proactively monitor, maintain, and tune systems for maximum uptime, leveraging automation where possible.

* Collaborate with vendors to enhance software/hardware, resolve bugs, and implement business-requested features.

* Lead change request management for app approvals, updates, security policies, and monthly patching cycles.

* Provide enterprise-wide training, mentorship, documentation, and process improvements; serve as top-tier escalation for Apple systems issues.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in technical/scientific discipline
* 2+ years experience as an Apple system administrator in an enterprise environment and seen as the go-to expert in an area of specialization with an increasingly strategic mindset

Skills and Qualifications:

* Expert in Apple macOS systems and MDM tools such as JAMF, Munki, Workspace One, and Apple Business Manager.

* Skilled in scripting, network protocols, and security technologies including Bash/Python, AD, Cisco ISE, certificate authorities, and SSO integrations.

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach and experience presenting to various audiences.

* Adept at cross-functional collaboration and navigating all levels of an organization, from support teams to executive leadership.

* Self-motivated and adaptable, with a high level of curiosity, initiative, and the ability to create, maintain, and improve technical documentation and procedures.
