Overview:
GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking an IT Software Asset Manager & Vulnerability Analyst to work in a hybrid capacity, with at least 1 day on-site per week at the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA). This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position requiring candidates to be Pennsylvania residents within commuting distance. The role offers a collaborative work environment focused on IT asset lifecycle management, compliance, and risk mitigation across enterprise infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the management of PHEAA's software asset portfolio and hardware inventory across the full lifecycle (procurement to decommissioning).
* Conduct software licensing compliance analysis and proactively resolve compliance issues to reduce financial risk.
* Create executive-level reports and dashboards to support key business decisions and demonstrate compliance with asset management and audit standards.
* Evaluate and recommend updates to internal policies and controls to reduce audit, legal, and regulatory risks.
* Manage and support the agency's asset management tools, ensuring timely and accurate data collection and maintenance.
* Analyze IT procurement agreements and contract renewals to update system records and align licensing structures with vendor requirements.
* Respond to and manage IT asset-related service requests, including license availability, decommissioning, and license harvesting.
* Collaborate with the Enterprise Security Office (ESO) to support Nessus vulnerability scanning and remediation planning.
* Assist in developing the Vulnerability Management Workflow and maintaining related roadmaps.
* Conduct periodic reviews with asset owners to validate inventory accuracy and support business continuity planning.
* Create and maintain process documentation for audit compliance and knowledge continuity.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and/or certifications.
* 2-4 years of experience with enterprise asset management tools and software asset lifecycle management.
* Proven experience with software licensing compliance, contract interpretation, and vendor negotiations.
* Experience working with IT Operations, Compliance, or Security in a mid-to-large scale enterprise.
* Familiarity with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tenable Nessus) and remediation coordination.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and SharePoint for documentation, analysis, and presentation.
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal), organizational and analytical abilities.
