This position offers a hybrid work environment, which includes the ability to work from home, while also requiring a semi-regular on-site presence as needed at our Lakeside and/or Clayton Corporate HQ campus locations in St. Louis, Missouri.

Responsibilities:

As an IT Senior Manager in the API Office, you will lead a team of solution architects and product managers that are responsible for the API Marketplace used by both internal and external consumers, setting organizational standards and providing API guidance to IT.  The API Office is a consumer store front to IT, offering key API services such as governance, API strategy, standards, reporting, and API consumer tooling. You will collaborate with senior IT leaders and on IT projects that support and advance the way we do business. You will collaborate closely with both API providers and consumers, helping to promote an API First mindset across IT and supporting IT initiatives as it relates to our API Strategy.  This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your strong leadership and communication skills. 

The API Office, in collaboration with our platform partners, is preparing to implement an event driven architecture solution for Enterprise Mobility. The IT Senior Manager will serve a pivotal role on this initiative by leading the project team through delivery and addressing issues and risks as they are encountered.  Engagement with application development and infrastructure technology teams will be critical to navigate the complexities of a new platform implementation and the development of key eventing solutions. 

Beyond the API Office, the IT Senior Manager will have an opportunity to partner with senior leaders to provide strategic thought leadership and process implementation as we determine the organizational strategy of the new Developer Services department.  Developer Services consists of both the API Office and Cloud Office and are in the early phases of a new and evolving department. This position is also responsible for people management activities including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and conducting performance and salary reviews.

Qualifications:

Required:

* Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
* Must reside in St. Louis, Missouri, or immediate surrounding area
* The Senior Manager position requires 8+ years of relevant experience 
* 5+ years of experience successfully leading, coaching, and developing technical and non-technical team members 
* 5+ years of experience with API development, including individual contribution and leadership
* 2+ years experience with an API Marketplace and supporting API providers and consumers of APIs 
* Must have experience leading direct reports including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and conducting performance and salary reviews. 
* Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
* Knowledge of API concepts and strategies, such as domain modeling and taxonomy 
* Knowledge of Event Driven Architecture (EDA) and strategy 
* Knowledge of Publisher/Subscriber (Pub/Sub) concepts 
* Experience with an ITSM solution, Service-Now or similar is preferred 
* Experience leading teams through change preferred 
* Knowledge of Jira and Confluence is preferred 
* Experience partnering with third party vendors on contracts and statements of work
