IT Operations Support Specialist

				Overview:

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking an IT Operations Support Specialist to work in a hybrid capacity, with 3 days on-site per week at the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) in Washington, D.C. This position requires candidates to reside within commuting distance of the DMV region and offers an opportunity to support enterprise-level systems in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

* Provide technical assistance in all aspects of data processing operations and systems monitoring.

* Support and maintain both mainframe and server-based applications.

* Monitor applications and infrastructure tools to identify, investigate, and resolve error conditions and system failures.

* Execute software migrations and updates through Configuration Management (CM) processes.

* Assist in the startup and stability of production applications and systems.

* Utilize Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and Oracle SQL Developer for troubleshooting and analysis.

* Follow operational procedures and escalate issues as appropriate.

* Work flexible hours, including weekends or shift-based coverage, as required.

Qualifications:

* At least 2 years of experience with Configuration Management (CM) for software updates and code migrations.

* Minimum 2 years supporting software migration processes and production startup activities.

* Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and Oracle SQL Developer.

* Experience supporting both mainframe and server application environments.

* Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and understand system limitations.
