Overview:
Our Manufacturing teams are the gatekeepers who ensure our groundbreaking products meet the standards of innovation and performance we pride ourselves on. From the engineers who design large-scale production systems and cutting-edge quality assurance tools to the hands-on associates who manage our massive inventory flow, they make up a diverse group of behind-the-scenes team members dedicated to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.
Are you a high-energy IT leader who thrives at the intersection of complex logistics and cutting-edge software development? We are looking for a visionary IT Manager to drive innovation within our Manufacturing, Distribution (M&D), and In-Home Services divisions.
This isn't just a "keep the lights on" role. You will work side-by-side with our Senior IT Manager and Head of Operations to lead a high-performing squad of Developers, Data Analysts, Product Owners, and Support Specialists. If you are passionate about building custom applications that slash costs, boost productivity, and redefine "efficiency," we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Mentor and Lead: Act as a primary mentor for the M&D IT development and support teams, fostering a culture of radical accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth
* Talent Strategy: Manage team capacity through strategic recruitment, onboarding, and customized professional development plans
* Project Excellence: Oversee a diverse portfolio of IT projects, ensuring every deliverable hits the mark on time, within budget, and above quality standards
* Hybrid Agile Oversight: Direct the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for our custom application suite, balancing agile speed with rigorous requirements gathering and formal change management
* Roadmap and Backlog: Partner with the Product Owner to prioritize backlogs, manage technical debt, and translate business "wants" into technical "must-haves
* The "Gold Standard" of Quality: Own the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and production validation; you are the final gatekeeper for go-live events, ensuring seamless transitions into production environments
* Bridge the Gap: Act as the Customer Success Manager (CSM) between IT and Operations. You'll translate complex technical jargon into actionable business strategies for our stakeholders
* Incident and SLA Management: Lead the charge on root cause analysis for critical issues; you won't just fix bugs; you'll implement proactive monitoring and alerting to stop them before they start
* Continuous Improvement: Define "bottlenecks" across the enterprise; whether it's a warehouse workflow or a performance tracking app, you will recommend and execute changes to improve quality throughout development and beyond
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
* BS/BA Degree preferred
* MS or MBA is a significant plus
* Minimum of 2 years of direct people leadership experience and 2 years of Project Management experience
* Proven experience within Manufacturing or Distribution environments and/or hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems is highly preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
* You possess world-class communication skills; you can walk into a room of executives or a floor of warehouse associates and gain immediate alignment on a cohesive strategy
* You don't just "give updates"-you deliver enthusiastic and engaging demos that get the whole company excited about our tech
* You have a "detective" mindset, capable of troubleshooting complex system integrations with minimal direction
* You excel at building bridges between disparate departments (from the loading dock to the C-suite) to integrate various opinions into one winning roadmap
* You thrive in a hybrid environment where you can pivot between fast-paced sprint planning and disciplined release management
* Comfortable across the full stack (JavaScript, .NET, Python, SQL); you are a "technical catalyst" who can jump into a sprint planning session and provide expert direction on complex application builds
