Responsibilities:
The IT Inventory Specialist III is a full-time, dedicated position. This role is for a self-starting, highly motivated IT inventory specialist responsible for implementing activities of the Base Equipment Control Officer (BECO) and Base Software License Manager (BSLM) ensuring IT goals are accomplished on Maxwell Airforce Base.

Qualifications:
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
* Manage the Base Software License Management program.
* Ensure the BSLM and ITAM databases are accurate.
* Manage requests for locally approved software.
* Serve as the Alternate Base Equipment Control Officer
* Perform other duties and assignments as required by the IT Plans and Programs Chief.
* Perform daily tasks; receiving, storing and issuing assets. Documents a wide variety of paper and electronic record keeping. Attention to detail is essential to be successful.
* Perform administrative office tasks to include telephone, automation, and scheduling. Coordinates activities to ensure progress and schedules are on time.
* Perform oversight of BECO program, policies and procedures governing DoD networks.
* Manage the USAF Base IT Asset Management (ITAM) program. Manage and track government-owned and leased computer systems equipment.
* Maintains IT equipment in accordance with established practices and guidelines, including existing constraints and directives imposed by the DoD network systems.
* Executes the base IT hardware reutilization program (i.e. Computers for Learning) and disposal of excess equipment.
* Executes the oversight of BSLM program, policies and procedures governing DoD networks.
* Manage and track all Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and Government Off the Shelf (GOTS) products and licenses governing DoD networks.
* Develop, coordinate and schedule training and Staff Assisted Visits (SAVs).
* Prepares status reports, metrics and keeps management, clients, and others informed of status.
* Provides problem-solving support to base Information Technology Equipment (ITE) Property Custodians (PC) and Unit Software License Managers (USLM).
* Assists in developing and maintaining technical documentation.
* Responsible for educating one-self on the policies and procedures governing DoD networks.
* Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional and mission requirements.
