We are currently offering an opportunity for a IT Business Applications Intern to support our Information Technology team. This 10-week immersive program is designed to provide hands-on experience with the corporate IT applications used at Highgate to meet business needs. As an Intern, you'll gain exposure to key areas such as finance system landscapes, application integrations and role-based access provisioning. The Business Applications team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment-offering a unique opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies to help solve real business challenges and allowing you to learn about the hospitality industry while working in a fun and fast-paced environment.
This position is based from our corporate offices in Irving, TX.
Responsibilities:
* This position will assist corporate IT applications team with day-to-day issues working with technology related to finance business systems and will primarily focus on reviewing access provisioning to these applications.
* Key areas of analysis for this summer internship would be around user provisioning process, user reviews, license risk assessment, IT Audits, and development/revision of policies and procedures for Highgate based on controls.
* Collaborates with Finance leadership team to help create security matrix for different lines of business based on titles and roles.
* Extract data from applications to perform analysis..
* Reviews and audit user application access and roles to align with security matrix.
* Assists with tracking and clearing of all audit/license exceptions.
Qualifications:
* Enrolled in a Bachelor 's degree, Graduate degree or equivalent in Information Technology or similar.
* Minimum Junior status.
* Must show interest to work with business applications, SQL or query tools, Excel, Word.
* Strong communication skills & work ethic.
* Customer Focused: Drive to understand and deliver on expectations.
* Business Acumen: Appreciation and understanding of security, controls in financial services.
* Learning Agility: Openness to learn and acquire skills required/needed.
* Critical Thinking: Analyzing data and problem-solving skills to reach an acceptable solution.

* Ability to participate in a summer internship program of 10 weeks (June-August).
* You must reside in Dallas, TX during the internship and work onsite.
* Salary - $20/hr for 40 hour week /10 weeks.
