What You Can Expect:

* Schedule: Full time, weekdays, 4 10-hour shifts. 
* No on call required! 
* Body intervention to include general, drains, ports, and many more with more advanced procedures to include embolization, radiation treatment delivery and emergent neuro services to include stroke intervention. 
* Phillips equipment (3, one biplane).

* Busiest Emergency Department in the state of Idaho with focus on new trauma expansion. 

Minimum Qualifications for this Role:

* Education: Associate degree or experience in lieu of degree 
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography certification (ARRT_R) 
* Cardio Vascular (ARRT_CV) registration or Vascular Intervention (ARRT_VI) registration.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of a radiologist or physician performs peripheral and neurological diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical data. Operates imaging equipment to assist in guiding small instruments through the body during procedures.

* Technologists will educate patient, family or provider as to the extent and detail of each procedure, including informed consent as well as pre-and post-procedure instructions. 

* Technologist is responsible for the preparation of an adequate, complete, and current medical record for every individual evaluated or treated as a patient. Records must contain sufficient information to identify the patient, support the diagnosis, justify the treatment and document in the electronic health record. 

* Prepares room for procedures using approved cleaning protocol. Appropriately discards sharps and maintains adequate level of supplies and linen. 

* Assures that proper radiation safety measures and aseptic/sterile technique are utilized. 

* Participates independently in call and holiday rotation as needed. 

* Performs department and hospital related computer functions applicable to job. 

* Exhibits competency in performing QC tasks associated with equipment and procedures and ensures standards are met according to state and federal regulations. 

* Maintain proper inventory levels of all supplies and ensure accuracy of patient charges as required. 

* Practice guidelines specific to ALARA policy (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). 

* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Education: Associate degree or experience in lieu of degree 
* Experience: 0 years' relevant experience. 
* Licenses/Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography certification (ARRT_R) 
* Cardio Vascular (ARRT_CV) registration or Vascular Intervention (ARRT_VI) registration.
