Position: Housekeeping Support
Rate: $16.92 up to $19.44, depending on related experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3p-11p
Location: Homestead area of Pittsburgh, PA
JOB SUMMARY:
The Housekeeping Support Specialist will be responsible for the daily maintenance and cleaning of the interior and exterior of the facility grounds, including all room areas, bathroom facilities and staff offices. The purpose is to ensure that all building residents have a clean and safe environment; to provide clean interior areas; and ensure the cleanliness of the external areas.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
* Cleaning and Sanitizing: Daily maintenance, cleaning and sanitizing of the program facility grounds, including the dormitory areas, bathroom facilities, common areas and staff offices.
* Safe Environment: Ensures that all residents and staff have a clean and safe environment. Maintains record of deep cleaning activities to provide proper upkeep of the cleanliness of the living areas, dormitories, bathrooms and offices.
* Laundry Services: Provides clean clothes, towels and linens by washing and drying items to keep them presentable at all times. Maintains a regular laundry schedule to ensure clients are properly cared for.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Must have a High School Diploma/GED with one year of related experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be 21 years of age or older (required).
* Must be able to attend ten days of in-house orientation on weekdays.
* Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants, or other chemical substances or controlled substances.
* Must be empathetic and have a team approach to care for our individuals.
* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Should be energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires regular walking and standing throughout the workday; seldom requires sitting. Frequently requires stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting and reaching above shoulder level. Often requires repetitive use of wrists, hands and legs. Occasionally requires lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Requires the physical ability to successfully perform CPR, First Aid procedures and Safe and Positive Approaches, if needed. Requires continuous normal hearing (40-60 decibels or 40-60 decibels with correction) and normal vision (20/20 or 20/20 with correction).
