				Overview:

* Full time
* Night shift, 9:30pm -6am

Perform daily major cleaning and heavy cleaning of areas of the facility and off site locations in accordance with the policies of the housekeeping department.  Maintains facility floors using automated stand on scrubber and vacuum. Responsibilities:

* Perform duties of waste disposal; handling all types of waste from the facility according to procedures within the housekeeping department. Regular, medical, infectious, pharmacological, confidential and recycling.

* Maintain the ability to follow a daily detailed schedule of tasks/areas with assignment.

* Understands importance of cleaning and disinfecting of high touch areas in patient rooms to achieve high-level disinfection.

* Maintain all floors in the facility includes running automated stand on vacuum and floor scrubber.

* Perform all special project cleaning as assigned by manager.

* Monitor the condition of the equipment and supplies to ensure safe and efficient operations of the department.

* Initiate hospital procedure regarding employee/patient incident reports.

* Participate in continuing education; meet requirements for all mandatory inservices.

* Promotes health and safety in the work environment.

* Actively participates in competency assessment process.

* Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

Education:

* High school graduate preferred.

Experience:

* Two years previous housekeeping/cleaning experience required.

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

* Excellent customer relations and communication skills required.
