As a Housekeeper II, you'll take on a specialized and essential role in maintaining pristine operating rooms and surgical areas, following strict AORN guidelines to ensure the highest level of sterility. You'll work with advanced cleaning equipment, safely manage biohazard materials, and play a key role in infection prevention-all while collaborating with clinical teams to keep everything running smoothly. Responsibilities: * Perform specialized cleaning of ORs between cases and at end-of-day, ensuring compliance with department standards and AORN guidelines. * Handle and dispose of soiled linen, trash, and biohazard materials appropriately, following infection control and safety protocols. * Clean hazardous spills, including blood or bodily fluids, using trained procedures to maintain a safe environment. * Deliver biohazard trash, pharmaceutical waste, and sharps containers to storage areas, labeling and preparing them for pickup in compliance with regulations. * Maintain and clean EVS equipment, carts, and closets, ensuring they are stocked and functional, and report repair needs to maintenance or biomed. * Execute wet mopping and machine scrubbing in surgical areas (OR, Cath Lab, CTU, Endo), maintaining sterile environments for patient safety. Qualifications: Experience: * Any relevant experience in a housekeeping related position is preferred.
