				Overview:

The Housekeeper I is responsible for providing high levels of cleanliness, quality, and service to patients, families and customers.

Schedule: (Full time) 2nd shift, 2:00pm - 10:30pm

Responsibilities:

* Cleans and services patient care areas, offices, lobbies, bathrooms or other areas as assigned.
* Demonstrates knowledge of 10 Step Cleaning Process and appropriate chemical use to meet department standards.
* Performs routine cleaning and coordinates with management to address and resolve facility maintenance, service issues and other concerns.
* Practices proper methods of Infection Control in conjunction with cleaning procedures. Maintains proper use and knowledge of PPE and door precautions.
* Maintains closet, housekeeping cart and cleaning equipment in clean, orderly and good working condition.
* Maintains department's standards of practice as evidenced by quality control inspections and customer feedback.

Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Education:

* High School graduate or equivalent, required. 

Skills:

* Demonstrate high degree of proficiency in the 10 Step Cleaning Process.
* Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Demonstrates ability to prioritize and multi-task.
* Displays positive customer service skills and promotes a team atmosphere

Experience:

* Previous housekeeping experience, preferred

Minimum Physical Requirements:

* Weight requirement - Must be able to lift 40 lbs. independently. 
* Must be able to see, stand on feet for 8 hours, hear, walk, talk, and care of oneself with little or no difficulty.
