Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities:
MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
* Properly present clean menus to our guests.
* Collect and inspect all menus, discarding the worn ones.
* Maintain the professional appearance of the hostess stand.
* Supply guests with information on services available at the Hotel/Casino, including all of our restaurants.
* Monitor the waiting line to determine if there are large parties waiting.
* Answer telephone at the hostess stand.
* Monitor the performance and completion of sidework.
* Handle initial guest complaints. Inform manager on duty immediately of any problems or concerns.
* Assure smooth transition during shift changes. Remain on duty until relief is present and acknowledges that they are ready to take over.
* Ensure that tables are properly set to start each shift.
* Assist the manager with breaks.
* Must provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and team members.
* Performs related work as requested.

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: Experience in high volume full service restaurant. Good organizational and people skills are required.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED.
SKILLS: Excellent communication skills. Ability to perform basic math. Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well groomed manner. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with guests and team members. Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. MMS and Micros experience preferred.
