Overview:
Graduate by Hilton Princeton is seeking a polished, welcoming, and organized Host/Hostess to serve as the first point of contact for our restaurant guests. This role is responsible for creating a warm first impression, managing reservations and seating flow, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to brand standards
* Greet guests warmly and provide knowledgeable recommendations
* Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently
* Accurately process cash and credit card transactions
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, service areas, and equipment
* Restock supplies including cups, lids, syrups, pastries, and retail items
* Monitor product quality and presentation to ensure consistency
* Follow food safety, sanitation, and responsible service standards
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications:
* Previous barista or food & beverage experience preferred
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Basic knowledge of espresso preparation and coffee beverages a plus
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
* Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail
* Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays
