Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Internal Medicine trained Physician to join our Hospitalist team as a Nocturnist in Albuquerque, NM. Practice Highlights: * Largest employed Hospitalist group in the state employing more than 80 Physicians and 6 APP's * Unit Based Multidisciplinary Rounding model * Full Subspecialty Support * 24/7 Rapid Response Team * 1856 annual hours required per year * 12-13 shifts per month * 12 hour night shifts * Night Shift Differential * Guaranteed salary with quality incentives * Close ICU setting Responsibilities: Summary: Cares for patients referred by the primary care provider, then returns care of the patient to the primary care physician at the time of discharge. The hospitalist is responsible for managing the care of inpatients and works collaboratively with nurse case and care managers, care coordinators, consulting and primary care physicians and other facility-based healthcare professionals who comprise the patient s care team. The hospitalist leads the care team in providing efficient but compassionate care. Responsibilities: *Oversees and is accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes within the assigned facilities. * Oversees and is accountable for all resource utilization within the assigned facilities. * Ensure both patient and provider satisfaction and develop plans for improvement. *Provides input into the hospitalist team s financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues. *Organize, attend and facilitate daily care team meetings within the assigned facility. *Attend and participate in all regular scheduled hospitalist meetings *Attend and participate in requested QI, Peer Review and Care Management meetings. *Attend and participate in Sub-specialist/Medical group meetings as requested. *Provide real time feedback to PCPs regarding clinical and operational guidelines to optimize patient care and clinical efficiency. *Maintain coding and encounter data standards for completeness, accuracy, timeliness and reimbursement level., including legible documentation *Meet and maintain all provider credentialling and QI standards. *Participate in the development, adoption, and implementation process for clinical standards for inpatient care. *Knowledgeable of the contents of The Hospitalist Manual: An Evidence-Based Approach to Medicine. *Work with the Medical Director and/or the Lead Hospitalists to assure proper provider staffing, including vacation coverage. *Mentor and educate all new hospitalists on PMG s service standards. *Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops.
