Qualifications:

The Hospitalist provides medical care for patients and facilitates transition of care at discharge from the hospital by communicating a summary of the hospital course, discharge medications, pending diagnostic studies, and follow-up instructions to the primary care provider and pertinent consultants. As a Hospitalist you will:

* Be responsible for comprehensive patient care to assure that the health care needs of patients are being met, including attendance at Interdisciplinary or nursing rounds and daily communication with the team caring for the patient.
* Renders quality medical services according to qualifications as an internal medicine or family practice physician with appropriate referrals, follow-up and hospitalization. 
* The Hospitalist supports hospital medical staff and other area physicians utilizing the Hospitalist service by overseeing the inpatient experience, including providing follow-up care for patients in the outpatient realm.
* Communicates health status and treatment plan to patient, family and hospital staff.
* The Hospitalist documents information completely for patient care and billing purposes, and assists in the review of work flow, office practices and objectives; and teaches medical students, residents and others in graduate health education programs.

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

* Doctorate of Medicine required
* Current Physician License in the state of Colorado required
* Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required
* Other certifications may be required depending on practice setting or credentialing requirements

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
