Responsibilities:
Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider
As our Advanced Practice Provider Hospitalist, you will join our dynamic healthcare team in Pierce County. We specialize in admitting patients, cross-covering existing inpatients, and managing acute clinical deteriorations overnight. .
Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the well-being of our patients within Franciscan Medical Group.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex diseases, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.
* Facilitate and manage after-hours patient admissions from the Emergency Department, direct admissions, and transfers
* Assess and treat acute clinical deteriorations (e.g., sepsis, respiratory distress) and provide cross-coverage for the daytime hospitalist team
* Work seamlessly with the night-shift Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team, nursing staff, and on-call subspecialists to ensure continuous, high-quality patient care
* Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including specialists, nurse care coordinators, and social workers to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care
* Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant completion of histories and physicals (H&Ps), medical decision-making notes, and medication reconciliations in the EMR
* Provide and document direct treatment for patients, including ordering medications, referrals, and following up on specialist consultations
* Facilitate warm handoffs and morning reports to the daytime hospitalist team
* 140 - 12 hour shifts per year
* Compensation ranges from $154,000 - $186,900 /year
We are offering a base salary, wRVU productivity, and an annual bonus incentive. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance is available
Qualifications:
Required
* ARNP or Physician Assistant Degree/Certification
* Active, unrestricted license in the state of Washington
* Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for the specific practice
* Strong clinical diagnostic skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
* Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to all patients
Preferred
* At least one year of Hospital Medicine experience
