For more than 70 years Mercy Medical Center Redding has offered comprehensive health care in the North State providing acute care and a full range of medical services. The 267-bed hospital offers major medical services including a Level II Trauma Center as well as specialized Cardiovascular Care Stroke Care Orthopedics Neurological Surgery Comprehensive Cancer Care Maternity Care and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. It is the sole provider of obstetrical services along with the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County. Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The Hospice Aide implements personal care and assistance in the delivery of direct and indirect patient care while following the Hospice Aide care plan. The Hospice Aide under the direction and oversight of the other professional clinicians provides optimum home care and continuity of care to referred patients while addressing the patient population served.

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

* 1 year of recent work experience
* High school graduate or equivalent
* Current Home Health Aide Certificate
* Current American Heart Association BLS Cert
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

 Preferred Requirements:

* Experience as a Home Health Aide
