Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. Responsibilities:

As our Home Care Aide, you will provide essential personalized support and companionship to clients in their homes, enhancing their overall quality of life and fostering independence according to individualized care plans.

Every day you will assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments. You will meticulously document services provided and proactively communicate any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate supervisor.

Your ability to adapt to varying client needs, maintain a safe environment, and adhere to care plans with attention to detail is essential.

* Implements personal care and assistance in the delivery of direct and indirect patient care while following the Home Health Aide care plan
* Performs documentation that is timely, accurate, and concise
* Assesses patient condition and status every visit and communicates observation and change to Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Home Health Clinical/Office Coordinator
* Performs efficiently in emergency situations, following established protocols, appropriate communication and documentation within Home Health Aide practice/limits
* Performs personal care services to and for patients in their homes
* Assists in determining patient's needs and communicates need to case manager

Qualifications:

Required

* High School Diploma/GED 
* Current Home Health Aide Certificate issued by the California Department of Health Services
* 1 year recent work experience 
* Basic Life Support - BLS through an American Heart Association provider
* Driver's License: CA
* Auto Insurance: CA

Preferred

* Experience as a Home Health Aide
