We are seeking a highly-motivated intern to join our Highways & Traffic Engineering Discipline for Summer 2026 in our Hamilton, NJ office.

Responsibilities:

* Assist technical staff with day-to-day design tasks for various types of transportation and traffic projects.
* Conduct basic engineering functions including computer-aided design, calculations and cost estimating under the direct supervision of senior engineers and managers.
* Collaborate as a member of the Highway-Traffic team to realize project deliverables and deadlines.
* Put classroom lessons to work in a practical, real-world  situation.
* Visit projects under construction and assist with field reconnaissance under the supervision of a senior engineer or project manager.
* In addition to the work-centered program, we also offer robust internship programming, which includes opportunities to work with other interns, learn about other areas of the business, and develop valuable communication skills and networking connections.

Qualifications:

* Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related program.
* Interest in roadway and highway/traffic design preferred.
* Must have reliable transportation to the office.
* Basic understanding of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Possess solid problem-solving skills.
* Must be able to work in a high-paced environment.
* Strong computer literacy, to include MS Office.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation: $18.00 to $27.00 per hour (Depending on qualifications)
