Practice Highlights: * 60% Oncology / 40% Hematology * See an average of 14-16 patients per day. * Expected Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 AM to 5 PM * Practice Responsibilities: 80% office, 10% inpatient, 10% admin. * Call frequency: 10 days of call required per month * This facility is the only cancer care center within 100 miles of our service area. We are currently QOPI certified and working toward ACOS certification. * Systemwide Epic (EMR) system This location is the only cancer care facility within 100 miles of our service area. Responsibilities: The Cancer Center at Presbyterian Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico is a well-established and growing program. The hospital is a regional medical center with multiple specialties and actively expanding services for the rural area of Clovis and Portales in Eastern New Mexico with multiple smaller communities within a 100 mile radius who rely on us for many of their specialty healthcare needs. We are seeking a BE/BC Hematology Oncology physician who seeks a small team environment with the support and resources of an integrated and dynamic healthcare system. You will partner with our tenured physician to expand our busy practice. Established in 2004, our program offers a broad range of services for cancer patients and treatment options include radiation therapy, chemotherapy and surgical options. We are currently QOPI certified and are working toward ACOS certification. Summary Diagnose and treat cancer in adults using chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biological therapy, and targeted therapy. Medical oncologist works in collaboration with the supportive care team and may coordinate treatment given by other specialists. Hematology includes diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders Responsibilities * In alignment with NCCN guidelines, order and oversee diagnostic testing; prescribe treatment and supportive medications. * Collaborate with the care team to include palliative care, psychology, social work, PT, OT, Speech, dietician, nursing, research to ensure optimal patient outcomes. * Oversee care provided by Advanced Practice Clinicians, as required by provider licensure. * Participate in process improvement which drives standard of care across the continuum. * Participation in tumor board(s) is required Qualifications: Type of Opportunity: Full Time Work Schedule: Days Credentials * MD or DO with fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology * BC/BE Medical Oncology and Hematology * NM Medical License * Demonstration of CARES behaviors and the practice of collaborative care * 3-5 years minimum experience preferred * We welcome J1 and H1B waiver candidates and are committed to supporting eligible physicians through the visa sponsorship process.
