Health Information Management Technician 

(supporting our inpatient rehab hospitals)

Full Time / On-Site

Shift Options

Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm

Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm

Mon-Fri 10am-6:30pm

Mon-Fri 11am-7:30pm

M-Th: 9am-5:30pm, F: 8am-12:30pm, Sat: 8am-12pm

$18-$20/hr based on experience

Responsibilities:

* Assist in the maintenance of accurate electronic records to meet the requirements for licensure and certification
* Record processing and physician record completion
* Scanning and filing transcribed reports and other documentation
* Document and data storage and retrieval
* Release of confidential information
* Maintaining confidential medical records
* Record review and data collection 
* Communicate with hospital administrative staff, nurses, physicians, and hospital leadership

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

* High school diploma or GED
* At least one year of experience working in the healthcare industry
* At least one year working in a customer service related field
* Detail oriented
* Resourceful problem solver

Preferred Qualifications

* Health information management experience
* Experience with release of information (ROI) and HIPPA
* Knowledge of HIPAA and Joint Commission standards 
* Experience managing patient health records
* Familiarity and ability to work around different time zones within the U.S.
* Ability to be professionally assertive when communicating with hospital administrative staff, nurses, physicians, and hospital leadership
