Overview: The Health Education Coordinator is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of continuing education and organizational learning initiatives. This role supports evidence-based practice across the organization by identifying educational needs, coordinating professional development activities, and fostering a culture of lifelong learning and clinical excellence. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop evidence-based curricula and training materials * Evaluate curriculum and instructional material and work with providership organizations to continually meet requirements for CEU/CEH distribution * Assess, plan, and coordinate continuing education programs for clinical and non-clinical staff * Manage logistics for in-person and virtual educational events, including workshops, seminars, and webinars * Conduct organizational learning needs assessments in collaboration with department leaders * Support onboarding and orientation programs for new staff * Contributes to the annual budget process of the Health Education Center and operates within the budget * Exhibits flexibility and openness to changes as a result of the continual evaluation of the Health Education Center * Serve as a liaison for hospital staff and learning management system for online learning modules. * Participates in professional organizations and maintains professional growth * Organizes task forces/committees and provides leadership in accordance with both parent organizations' guidelines. Serves on task forces/committees as appointed. * Collaborates and networks with other health systems and community organizations to facilitate the delivery of continuing education * Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling to accommodate departmental education needs * Coordinates ongoing review of nursing and HEC policies and procedures * Work with document managers to identify updates references * Supports implementation of evidence based practiced into policy implementation Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required Masters Degree in Nursing preferred Experience: Three years experience with progressive responsibilities and demonstrated leadership abilities as a member of the healthcare team required. Experience in planning and executing education programs preferred. License(s)/Certification(s): Current RN Licensure in State of Iowa or applicable compact state. Must be licensed in state of residence. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. (i.e., demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills) Multicultural sensitivity. Microsoft Office - basic computer skills. Customer/patient focused. Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions. Ability to work effectively with others, solves problems, think creatively, communicate effectively, and implement change in a positive manner. Ability to organize, do long range planning.
