This is a provisional appointment.
Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):
Under general supervision, interprets policies, rules and regulations.
Responsibilities:
* Receives requests, instructions, or information pertaining to all aspects of the Permit Application Payment Process for Inspectional Services.
* Investigates reconciliation records, payment files, and other information resources to obtain necessary information for any requested reports.
* Classifies information according to office procedures.
* Transfers and posts information to records.
* Sends, routes, and relays forms, materials, and information.
* Maintains files, filing, and typing of forms, memos, letters, and other materials.
* Processes forms, checking them for accuracy and completeness.
* Answers and places telephone calls.
* Gives information to the general public.
* Performs related work as required.
Qualifications:
* Applicant must have at least three (3) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, office experience in an administrative position.
* Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on details as required by the job.
* Familiarity with payment of the permit applicant process and Permit Counter preferred.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
* A multi-lingual candidate is preferred.
* Applicants meeting the minimum entrance qualifications will be considered for this position.
