Hangar Facilities Technician
IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Hangar Facilities Technician FULL-TIME Opportunity in Dallas, TX
* Starting Wage: $17.00-$25.00/hr DOE
* Monday- Friday or 4/10 Schedule
The Hangar Facilities Technician is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the hangar facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and clean working environment. This role involves performing routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks on hangar infrastructure and equipment. The technician will work closely with the maintenance team to support aircraft operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hangar infrastructure, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC systems, and electrical systems.
* Maintain and repair hangar doors, flooring, and other structural components.
* Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the hangar, including waste management and recycling.
* Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
* Assist with the setup and teardown of equipment and facilities when needed.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Minimum Required Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Proven experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in an aviation or industrial setting.
* Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* The role may require an occasional evening, weekend, or on-call work to address urgent maintenance needs.
Preferred Qualifications
* Technical or vocational training in facilities maintenance or a related field.
