Responsibilities:

* Supervise, coordinate, and manage all aspects of safety on project site(s) to ensure a safe working environment.
* Conduct workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, as well as company policies.
* Actively promote a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, safety awareness initiatives, and employee engagement.
* Deliver comprehensive safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors, focusing on safety protocols, procedures, and emergency preparedness.
* Investigate and document workplace incidents, near-misses, and safety violations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable safety rules and regulations, and leverage strong negotiation and reasoning skills to influence and guide others toward effective and acceptable safety solutions.

Qualifications:

* NCSO or CRST Professional Certification required.
* OHS Certification would be an asset but not required.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in a field safety-related discipline.
* Heavy industrial operations experience is an asset.
* A proven track record in participation of safety management processes e.g. safety committees and working groups and heavy industrial auditing and inspection experience.
* You are an excellent planner, organizer, with refined interpersonal and communication skills and have demonstrated computer competency with Microsoft Office software.
