				Overview:

HRIS Business Systems Specialist

Days, Full-time

Location: Remote/work from home

This will be a temporary position with an end date of 4/17/2027

The primary focus of this position is the support and maintenance of HR Technology Systems.  This individual serves as a general point-of-contact for all HR functional areas in providing Tier 1 support.  This position is responsible for ensuring data integrity in the performance of scheduled tasks, maintenance and audits in the system. This position is also provides support on HR system upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects and process improvements as assigned.

Responsibilities:

* Research and resolve Tier 1 HR system problems, recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.  

* Troubleshoots Tier 2 business problems to determine root cause and implements any necessary clean up or system/data changes needed to resolve the problem.    

* Provide daily support for HR systems including, but not limited to, processing UPH and employee record changes, performing scheduled activities, monitor daily jobs to ensure successful completion, and complete regular audits.     

* Identify organizational performance improvement opportunities  

* Document system and business processes for business and technical audiences with clarity, completeness and specificity by using appropriate medium and visual modeling tools.     

* Effectively updates documentation as a result of process changes and enhancements to support end-users.     

* Write, maintain and support a variety of reports, dashboards or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools to support team and customer needs.   

* Maintains data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.    

* Develops new reports as needed when complexity of pulling data requires a more advanced skillset or security access.  

* Review and provide input into user procedures, guidelines and documentation.   

* Provides support to users on new processes/functionality post training.   

* Contributes to organizational learning by leading, mentoring and coaching others.  

System Maintenance:

* Engaged in calling attention to downstream impacts of system changes as a result of upgrades and patches and partners with other HRIS team members in preparing for these changes.   

* Maintain HR system tables.   

* Follow testing processes as defined and completes timely documentation of testing results.  

Projects/Enhancements:

* Contribute to the research, business analysis and business requirements definition/specifications for medium or large initiatives under the guidance of the HRIS Business Systems Analyst    

* Portray a proactive approach to work, calling attention to any practices that may result in downstream issues.    

* Identifies critical success factors and measures reflecting the impacts of an initiative.  

* Participate and provide input into process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy.   

* Participate in the development and execution of system build, creation and execution of test plans, and analysis of outputs.   

* Maintain awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increase HR, Business Analysis and HR technology application/tools knowledge. Participate in user group meetings/conferences.  

Qualifications:

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.  

Experience: 

* 1 to 3 years of related work experience in HRIS or Business/System Analysis or Support

License(s)/Certification(s): 

* Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

*  General understanding of system and data support processes

*  Thorough knowledge of MS Excel and Word. Experience with an HRMS such as PeopleSoft, Lawson or ADP preferred.

*  Experience with report writing toolspreferred.

*  Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.

*  Previous exposure to system-related projects preferred.

*  Ability to deal with people effectively and respond professionally in all situations.
