Responsibilities:
Facilitates Brookdale's leave of absence program in coordination with Brookdale's 3rd party leave of absence vendor, to ensure compliance with Brookdale policies, as well as federal, state and municipal leave regulations.
* Serves as the subject matter expert and point of contact for associates, community leadership and field leadership.
* Provides guidance in alignment with Brookdale's policy and practice, as well as federal, state and municipal regulations.
* Serves as the primary vendor contact for daily administration, as well as contract renewals and changes.
* Reviews daily files and manually updates employment records within the HR management system.
* Works closely with Benefits, Payroll, and HRIS teams to ensure STD/LTD, payroll and employment statuses are administered appropriately, and makes data entry updates as needed.
* Identifies potential ADAAA cases and coordinates with the Field HR team to facilitate the Interactive Dialogue.
* Evaluates processes and collaborates with Brookdale's vendor to identify changes in order to improve organization effectiveness.
* Develops and delivers virtual and in-person leave related trainings.
* Coordinates the no hours worked audit in coordination with Payroll.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred. Minimum of one to three years of experience in human resources, preferably in employee relations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to solve problems utilizing critical thinking skills. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word and Excel). Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
