Responsibilities:
- Creates a positive guest experience. Above all, smile, be helpful and friendly. - Answers any questions, takes responsibility to get answers, and anticipates our guest's needs and problems. - Takes reservations or seats according to outlet standards. Organizes reservation book as directed by outlet manager. Seats guests upon arrival. - Able to recommend dining special selections or features along with wine recommendations. - Must be able to accommodate guests with last minute requests. - Conducts any other related duties as assigned by Manager. - Completes daily station chart, checks control sheets if used. Assures all menus are in presentable order and repair. - Money handling procedures as established in Operational Standards manual must be observed at all times. - Conducts shift change with few to no mistakes, no overages or shortages, as well as ensuring all paperwork is accounted for in the cash drop. - Contacts Manager concerning any breakdowns and malfunctions of the MiCROS systems.
Qualifications:
QUALiFiCATiON REQUiREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATiONAL REQUiREMENTS: - Sanitation Certified, TiPS Training. - Previous experience as a waiter or maitre'd in a fine dining steakhouse or restaurant of more than 6 months, preferably in a casino environment. LANGUAGE SKiLLS: - Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.   MATHEMATiCAL SKiLLS: - Ability to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages and apply to practical situations. OTHER SKiLLS AND ABiLiTiES: - Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. - Ability to deal with problems with multiple variables. - Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per local, state, federal, and gaming regulations.
