Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities:

* Provide guest services for guests of the restaurant.  

* Receive cash or credit card from customers in payment for goods or services. 

* Computes bill on P.O.S. System or adding machine, makes change, and issues receipt. 

* May be required to know value of menu items. 

* May give cash refunds or credit memorandums as directed by Supervisor/Manager. 

* Greets and seats patrons. 

* Coordinates and controls the flow of the Restaurant. 

* Assigns stations to servers and bus persons. 

* Supervises the restaurant during the absence of the Restaurant Supervisor/Manager. 

* Interacts between Service Staff and Patrons when difficult situations arise. 

* Ensures that Service Quality and Standards are followed. 

* Answer telephone in a professional manner. 

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. 

* Previous cash handling experience is preferred. 

* Must have excellent guest service skills. 

* Able to operate a point of sale (POS) System and/or adding machine and make change. 

* Must have basic math skills. 

* Adequate mathematical skills and the ability to understand and utilize a POS system/count money and provide change. 

* Able to work varied shifts and hours. 

* Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
