Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities:
* Performs duties to greet and seat guests, takes reservations, and assists guests with special needs.
* Reviews current guest seating assignments and seats new guests according to seating system in each station.
* Anticipates guests coming in and has this information before greeting each guest.
* Greets guests by name whenever possible, makes guest feel welcome, sincerely conveys appreciation for choosing to dine with us, and ushers to the appropriate table.
* Inputs necessary date into seating system and adheres to seating system recommendations.
* Assists staff in duties as requested.
* Assists guest with special requests or needs.
* Monitors restaurant operations, notifying the supervisor of problems, needs, or guest comments.
* Ensures menus are clean and contain appropriate panels and information.
* Ensures light levels, music levels, and temperature levels are perfect and adjusts accordingly.
* Offers a sincere send off to each guest ("Good night, thank you for coming in,""Good luck") and welcomes them back ("Come back soon").
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Equivalent to a High School education with knowledge of food service is preferred.
* Must understand and speak the English language fluently.
* Strong customer service experience, ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to multi-task.
* Ability to stand for long periods of time.
* Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs dictate.
