Overview: Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM As a key member of our team, you'll provide exceptional customer service, greeting clients with warmth and professionalism to ensure they feel valued and cared for. You'll be responsible for guiding patients, families, and caregivers through the proper use of medical equipment, ensuring they're confident and comfortable. Your role will also include receiving orders, restocking inventory, and maintaining an organized storefront. You'll collaborate closely with clinic staff, physicians, and affiliates to deliver top-quality products that enhance patients' daily lives and promote their well-being. Responsibilities: Instructs patient/family/caregiver in the use of medical equipment. Receives orders, restocks and maintains storefront and assists with preparing equipment for delivery. Delivers and sets up or picks-up equipment to/from storefront and hospital Coordinate incoming calls and direct inquiries and referrals to the appropriate individual. Process all incoming work orders, interviewing client to secure demographic and financial data and securing authorization. Qualifications: Education: * High School or Vocational School graduate or an equivalent combination of education + experience. Minimum Experience: * 3 years of experience in a sales or customer service role in the HME or similar industry * Demonstrated experience in training, leading and/or motivating staff in a dynamic environment * Experience and proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.) * Proven customer service skills. * Detail oriented, well organized and able to work independently and with a team * Ability to have positive interaction with staff being supervised, including counseling, dialogues, problem solving and employee performance * Ability to prioritize tasks, and direct staff accordingly so that departmental and organizational targets are met * Ability to address concerns of physicians, patients, families, referrals or internal staff * Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment and respond to a diverse group of customers * Excellent listening, analytical, and time management skills * Basic knowledge of the unique service line functions for HME services. * Basic knowledge of specific regulatory and reimbursement requirements relevant to each of the areas supervised * Knowledge of health insurance billing and authorizations/referrals * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills * Openly and actively communicates information. * Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision making and problem solving expertise * Ability to work as a collaborative team member. * Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures.
