SIGN ON BONUS: $ 7,500 

Position: HCT & Cellular Therapy Apheresis RN 
Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Department: Cancer Hematology Clinic

Employment Type: Full Time, 40 hrs per week, 7am-5pm , 4 days per week

Are you a skilled RN with a passion for cellular therapies? Ready to make a profound impact in cancer care-and elevate your career? Novant Health is recruiting an HCT & Cellular Therapy Apheresis Registered Nurse for our Transplantation & Cellular Therapy team.

What You'll Do:

* Educates and explains apheresis procedure and provides health teaching to patients and families. 
* Performs apheresis procedures independently while following department/program policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements (ex. FDA, FACT).
* Administers pre-transplant conditioning chemotherapy regimens and pre-CAR T lympho-depleting chemotherapy.
* Performs hematopoietic cell transplantation and cellular product infusions.
* Maintains and cares for patient venous access used during apheresis procedure.
* Monitors patients daily post-transplant and post-CAR T.

Qualifications:

* RN license in NC or compact state 
*  BLS & ACLS required
* 1+ year apheresis experience collecting HPCs and MNCs preferred
* BSN preferred; will consider equivalent experience
* ONCC OCN/BMTCN or ASCP QIA credential preferred or in progress
* Chemotherapy‑Immunotherapy Certificate (ONS/ONCC) or equivalent - required within 6 months of hire

Qualifications:

* Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. BSN, preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of one year of apheresis experience in the collection of hematopoietic progenitor cells (HPC, Apheresis) and mononuclear cells (MNC, Apheresis) preferred.
* Licensure/Certification:
* Current NC or compact state RN license, required.
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification, required.
* Current (or actively pursuing) the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and/or Blood and Marrow Transplantation (BMTCN) credential or the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Qualification in Apheresis (QIA) credentials, preferred.
* Completion of ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate or equivalent within 6 months of hire, required.

* Additional Skills (required):

* Additional Skills (preferred): Knowledge of HCT and cellular therapy processes, including mobilization, apheresis, Spectra Optia(r) Apheresis System, HCT/cellular product infusion, chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR T) therapies and complications, and standards of the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) preferred.
