Overview:
Omni Hilton Head is seeking a Guest Services Telephone Operator to be the warm and welcoming voice of our resort. In this vital role, you will create a positive first impression by promptly answering calls, connecting guests and associates to the right resources, and delivering exceptional service with efficiency, professionalism, and care-upholding the high standards that define the Omni experience.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
* Professionally answer and operate the PBX console.
* Promptly direct incoming calls to the appropriate team members or departments.
* Provide courteous assistance to all guests and associates.
* Respond to inquiries through the Omni Prompt Response Help Line.
* Schedule and deliver accurate wake-up calls.
Tools & Equipment:
* Telephone and console
* Computer and keyboard
* Pen/pencil, file folders, filing cabinet
* Photocopier, printer, and fax machine
Working Environment:
* Indoor office environment within the hotel, operating under normal office conditions.
Qualifications:
* Proficiency in spoken and written English required.
* Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
* Strong communication and active listening skills.
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Comfortable using telephones, computers, and related office equipment.
* Professional, friendly, and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests and associates.
* Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
