Responsibilities: * Implement all physical improvements to the plant communities including planting, weeding and trimming. * Responsible for maintaining the site's irrigation system. * Oversee any third-party vendor(s) to maintain good relations through positive communications. * Operates large power lawn mowers, edgers, hand tools, and large vehicles associated with ground maintenance and landscaping activities. * Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walkways, flower beds, and walls. * Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes. * Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, ticks, and others. * Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth. * Comprehensive inclement weather planning and execution - snow, ice, natural disaster, etc. * Perform routine maintenance duties such as applying plaster, fixing fountains, and other duties. * Sweep walkway of debris. * Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger. * Trim shrubs and pull weeds. * Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping. * Empty all trash receptacles and replace with liners. * Install lawn furniture. * Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed. * Install rock, cement, lighting, water, and furniture. * Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer. * Operates pick-up trucks, flat-bed trucks, and dump trucks for hauling purposes and for trash and debris removal. * Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. * Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
