Responsibilities:
Bio: The Global Insights Manager works with Marketing to develop insights and identify opportunities to grow our business domestically and globally. Need to proactively identify consumer insights for Sazerac priority brands and BevAlc categories through analysis and integration of syndicated data, primary research, and market and consumer trends to drive insights from the data to actionable growth opportunities via brand creative messaging, consumer target identification and understanding, brand renovation, expansion, NBD, and marketing strategy.
* Contribute to Sazerac fiscal year growth by establishing himself/herself/themself as a business partner, translating insights and analytics into top and bottom-line business impact. This person analyzes sales and competitive trends, market and consumer trends, and syndicated data while leading primary consumer research to define Sazerac brands' growth opportunities related to brand creative messaging, consumer target identification and understanding, brand renovation, expansion, new business development, and marketing strategy, domestically and globally.
* Align individual priorities, time, and resource allocation, by brand, country, and state. Support marketing team with market analysis, insight generation, and opportunity identification for BCSPs. Leverage primary and secondary research to answer business questions from internal clients globally, building strategic recommendations from outputs. Provide insights to fuel launch strategies, brand positioning, target identification, development of relevant and compelling consumer-centric presentations to help secure customer & distributor support.
* Leads the sourcing, interpretation, and application of marketplace and consumer learning and trends to influence category and brand strategies, brand standards, new business development, sales decks, and marketing communication (packaging and programming). Lead day-to-day contact with research suppliers and communication with internal clients. Drives an agile, analytically driven approach to identifying and defining business opportunities for growth; Develops learning plans based on business needs, executes, analyzes, communicates learning, and delivers actionable business recommendations on time and within budget.
* Collaborate to establish best practice approaches to insight generation and strategy development (e.g. category deep dive learning, refining category strategies, identifying consumer growth targets, concept development, packaging development, etc.). Drives introduction and adoption of a comprehensive range of research methodologies and suppliers, continuous improvement in techniques and cost, and seeks new tools to increase effectiveness. Educate teams on methodologies and their applications to strategic marketing objectives.
* Integrates insights, consumer and market trends, competitive data, and custom research if needed to facilitate new business development with cross-functional teams. Lead research methodologies that connect consumers with idea prioritization and concept optimization in partnership with marketing, trade marketing, and sales for go-to-market strategy.
* Utilize PDS system to identify places for self-improvement, measure skill improvement progress, improve effectiveness at job and achieve goals. Actively participate in improving skills and documenting learning within PDS system
* Establish well organized priorities for yourself and define team member roles when leading initiatives/projects (RACI). Develop, lead and evolve efficient ways-of-working that effectively support internal clients. Manage both internal and external resources (outside vendors/research agencies) and define their roles in supporting BI priorities. Document project workflow when establishing new, best practice project workflows to facilitate future training and scalability of the process for the team and organization. Provide visibility for the organization to see how BI priorities and outputs align to organization goals.
* Identifying processes for position outcomes and priorities - identifying sales presentation and template processes for customer presentations and distributor reviews.
* Development and follow action plan to gain learning experiences needed to advance career.
Qualifications:
RequirementsMUST
* 5 years relevant experience (minimum)
* Bachelor Degree in Business or commensurate experience
* Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
* Excellent oral & written communication skills
* Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
* Strong analytical and technical skills
* Willingness to travel
* Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes
* Demonstrate the ability to work as a team as well as self-directed
PREFERRED
* MBA
* Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
* Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
