The Position:

The Global Employee Relations Manager is responsible for managing global employee relations including investigations, reporting, trending and solutioning. Conducts complex and sensitive investigations into workplace incidents including harassment, discrimination, retaliation and other workplace misconduct across all non-GDPR Regions. Delivers efficient and systematic resolution recommendations to investigations and serve as a team expert on investigation procedure and documentation. Responsible for developing internal best practices around tools, templates, training, and technology.

Employee Relations Investigations and Remediation

* Conducts and manages 100% of the assigned investigations for the Americas, APAC and Middle East regions, including the tracking system, communication updates, and incident evaluation reports.
* Ensures all cases within Europe are assigned, investigated, and closed in accordance with appropriately defined timelines/metrics.
* Completes intakes and conducts pre-screen assessment of incoming incident reports of discrimination, harassment, and other workplace misconduct based on protected status according to relevant legislation through PAC's reporting systems and processes.
* Performs initial analysis of all complaints within the Americas, APAC and Middle East regions; determines whether an investigation is warranted and the strategy for investigations as needed; prepares and maintains daily activity logs, completed reports, and other documentation.
* Prepares effective investigative plans and determines when legal counsel is needed.
* Makes credibility determinations using witness statements and documentary evidence.
* Conducts thorough, neutral, and impartial investigations including background research, investigative interviews, and shares findings and resolution recommendations with defined internal stakeholders.
* Recommends corrective action and remediation as needed.
* Prepares high-quality documentation and reports of the investigation that provide a clear and logical account of the allegations, investigative work performed, and key findings.
* Presents investigative findings and resolution recommendations to senior-level managers and the HRBP.
* Helps identify areas of improvement during investigations to ensure that appropriate remedial actions are put in place across PAC to help prevent repeat violations.
* Provides input and guidance on performance management plans, leveraging company tools and resources, and reinforcing best practices.

The salary range of $125,000 - $225,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.

What We're Looking For:

* BA/BS degree
* 10+ years' professional working experience conducting HR investigations with a Fortune 500 or private global company or law firm.
* Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience using HR Acuity and/or other case management systems including reporting, analytics and using data and trends for solutioning.
* Demonstrated experience applying data analytics/trends to identify solutions focused on driving measurable improvements in promoting a positive workplace environment, achieving business outcomes, and improving employee engagement.
* Working knowledge of federal and state equal opportunity and non-discrimination laws, regulations, including Title VII, Title IX, labor relations, and other related global laws, statutory requirements (applicable to Americas, APAC & Middle East) and policies, and ability to issue spot and promptly seek legal counsel guidance and direction on investigations to be conducted under attorney-client privilege.
* Prior experience conducting root cause analysis and post-investigation remediation activities.
* Prior experience developing and providing training to investigators and business leaders.
* Prior experience with in-house/corporate hotline/whistleblower case management solutions
* Strong ethics, integrity, and accountability with the ability to maintain independence and confidentiality.
* Ability to work across geographical, diverse and cultural boundaries and possess an ability to discern systemic issues revealed during the investigative process.
* Ability to work in direct contact with our internal investigatory partners, our employee populations, and our internal partner teams including OEC and Legal.
* Self-motivated and ability to work independently and autonomously.
* Demonstrated skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence.
* Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and ability to timely manage and prioritize a diverse and complex workload.
* Ability to influence beyond authority in a complex and matrixed organization including addressing and influencing C-Suite level executives.
* Knows and understands all applicable legal and policy requirements pertaining to conducting and managing investigations.
* Ability to train, coach, and mentor other investigators and team members on investigation best practices as needed.
* Operates with a people-centered approach in all interactions with team members, people managers and their employees, internal & external investigatory teams and other relevant external stakeholders (i.e. EEOC, Works Councils etc.).
* Uses a high degree of empathy balanced against an ability to provide direct feedback, handle sensitive and confidential information, and navigate through difficult and uncomfortable situations.
* May involve interaction with or management of external investigatory partners, which may include holding regular check-ins, conducting investigation audits, and educating on new investigation automation and processes.
* Easily develops trust and rapport with others.
* Travel both domestically and internationally up to 20% of time.
