Overview: Job Title: Gift Shop Retail Lead Salary: $24.00 Status: Full Time Shift: Day, Swing This role supports the Retail Manager in daily operations while also fulfilling the responsibilities of a Retail Clerk. The Lead Retail Clerk plays a key role in optimizing inventory profitability, identifying and meeting guest needs, and processing sales transactions. Additional responsibilities include helping to place orders and maintain stock levels for mPulse. The Lead Retail Clerk, like all members of the Monarch Casino Resort Spa team, is expected to deliver outstanding customer service to both guests and fellow Team Members. This role requires a high level of initiative, professionalism, self-awareness, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when appropriate. The individual in this position actively supports the company's Vision, Mission, and Values, consistently performing duties in a way that inspires and motivates others to do the same. As a member of the leadership team, the Lead Retail Clerk sets a positive example through service excellence, a can-do attitude, teamwork, and accountability. This person fosters trust and builds strong, credible relationships across all levels of the organization. Responsibilities: * Ring up sales and dispense correct change. * Provide friendly and courteous service while assisting guests * Assist with data entry, order entry, and store inventory. * Maintain clean and organized gift shop and storage areas. * Assist Retail Manager with managing inventory and seasonal rollovers to maximize profitability * Assist Retail Manager in determining future inventory needs using trend analysis and other data analytics. * Responsible for training new Team Members and assisting with development of current Team Members. * Assist team to meet service objectives and assist with enforcing company policy and procedures. * Handles guest issues and disputes. * Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Qualifications: * Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Previous cash handling experience preferred. * High School Degree or GED preferred. Physical demands & work environment * Ability to stand for long periods of time. * Frequent pushing, pulling, bending and walking. * May be subject to moderate noise and bright lights. * This position work schedule may vary based on business needs.
