Responsibilities: Our newest opportunity is for a talented Geotechnical & Topographical Engineer to join our team based in Dubai. We envisage success in this role to include; * Plan, supervise, and interpret subsurface investigations including boreholes, test pits, and cone penetration tests. * Coordinate laboratory and in-situ testing of soil, rock, and groundwater conditions. * Evaluate soil bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, and liquefaction potential. * Provide geotechnical design recommendations for road embankments, retaining structures, foundations, and ground improvement methods. * Prepare geotechnical investigation and interpretation reports. * Review and validate geotechnical reports submitted by contractors or third parties. * Review geotechnical aspects of design drawings and construction methodologies. * Provide technical advice during excavation, piling, dewatering, and ground improvement works. * Monitor geotechnical instrumentation and interpret results for design validation and safety assurance. * Oversee topographical surveys including total station, GPS, LiDAR, and drone-based mapping. * Ensure survey works meet project accuracy standards and defined scope. * Review and validate survey data including DTMs, contours, benchmarks, and longitudinal profiles. * Analyze terrain and elevation models for road alignment, drainage planning, and earthworks design. * Coordinate with road and drainage designers to integrate topographical constraints into alignment and grading plans. * Support quantity estimation and volume calculations for cut and fill optimization. * Supervise topographical verification works during and after construction. * Ensure constructed works comply with approved levels, coordinates, and design drawings. * Collaborate with civil, structural, drainage, and environmental engineering teams for interdisciplinary coordination. * Ensure all designs and site practices comply with relevant local authority regulations and project specifications. * Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and method statements related to geotechnical and topographical works. * Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and provide expert input during construction and inspection stages. Qualifications: To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10 years of work experience partnered with a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. * The candidate should have experience in infrastructure and a strong background in Dubai-based construction projects.
