Responsibilities:
Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group is growing our Gastroenterology network to provide outstanding care to the patients we serve in the beautiful town of Lufkin. Lufkin is a lively, growing, & energetic community with many amenities.
We are looking for an energetic physician to join a well established practice with the potential to expand further. Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group, is a collaboration between St. Luke's Health System & Baylor College of Medicine. Our opportunity boasts the wide variety of benefits and supportive resources expected as part of a large health system multispecialty group while also being recognized for individual contributions.
Job Highlights:
* Potential option to invest and partner in joint venture ambulatory surgery center
* Provide expert clinical care in advanced gastroenterology, including management of complex gastrointestinal conditions, diagnostic evaluations, and therapeutic interventions.
* Perform advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, and EMR.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage patient care, contributing to innovative treatment plans and ongoing clinical trials.
* Participate in education and mentorship of medical residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
* Opportunity to engage in and contribute to the development of research initiatives in gastroenterology.
* Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records.
* Contribute to the growth and development of the gastroenterology division within Baylor St. Luke's Health.
* Flexible and willing to support organizational needs with regard to healthcare and market changes;

* MD/DO Degree
* Completed ACGME residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship
* Active, or the ability to obtain, unrestricted Texas license
* American Board Certification and BLS (active).
