Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job)

Under the direction of the Park Maintenance Director and/or his designee, prepares the ground for flower beds, arranges flower beds, weeds, and trims beds. Performs related work as required.
Responsibilities:
* Prepares soil for beds, plants, and seeds.
* Works beds and pots plants.
* Transfers plants to beds.
* Plants grass.
* Trims hedges and prunes flowering bushes and shrubbery.
* Removes dirt, rubbish, leaves, and refuse.
* Performs related work as required.
Qualifications:
* Applicant must have two (2) years of paid experience as a Gardener.
* Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
* Must have and maintain a valid Massachusetts driver's license.
Pre-employment physical required.
CORI check required.
BOSTON RESIDENCY REQUIRED
